Data Engineer / Data & AI Engineer – Health Insurance

Job Description
We are seeking a hands-on Data Engineer / Data & AI Engineer to build scalable data pipelines, data models, and AI-ready data solutions supporting healthcare payer operations.
The ideal candidate has strong experience in data engineering, ETL/ELT, SQL, Python, cloud technologies, and healthcare data, with exposure to AI/ML and Generative AI.
The candidate will work closely with business, data science, and engineering teams to transform healthcare data into reliable, analytics-ready and AI-ready datasets.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines.
Build data models and data products supporting healthcare payer operations.
Integrate data from multiple sources including claims, providers, members, pharmacy, and authorization systems.
Develop data processing and transformation solutions using Python and SQL.
Perform data quality, validation, reconciliation, and troubleshooting.
Prepare healthcare data for AI/ML and Generative AI applications.
Support development of AI-ready datasets, features, and data pipelines.
Work with data scientists and AI engineers to operationalize ML/AI solutions.
Develop and integrate APIs and data services.
Optimize data pipelines for performance, scalability, and reliability.
Work with business teams to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Support production deployments and resolve data-related issues.
