Product Sales Development Manager - Cryo, Ion, Scroll Job Details | our company

Atlas Copco, through Leybold, provides vacuum technology solutions for advanced scientific and industrial applications. The Product Sales Development Manager will lead technical and commercial development of the Scientific Vacuum product portfolio across North America, overseeing product strategy, pricing, market development, launches, training, and competitive positioning.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary regional owner and subject matter expert for the Leybold Scientific Vacuum product portfolio
• Act as the primary North American point of contact for Global Product Management
• Support regional pricing strategies, product lifecycle management, and new product introductions
• Partner with regional and global marketing teams to develop and prioritize market messaging and promotional initiatives
• Analyze market dynamics, customer needs, competitive activity, and market share trends to identify growth opportunities
• Define and evaluate the total available market for Scientific Vacuum products throughout North America
• Provide product expertise and support to sales channels, technical support teams, and strategic customers
• Collaborate with applications engineering teams to recommend solutions for existing and emerging vacuum applications
• Deliver product training and educational programs for customers, sales teams, distributors, and support personnel
• Develop and present technical and commercial product presentations at customer meetings, trade shows, and internal events
• Support customer evaluations, qualifications, startup activities, and new application development
• Build and maintain expert-level knowledge of vacuum technologies, scientific applications, and advanced market segments
• Monitor competitive products, pricing, and market trends to strengthen Leybold's value proposition and market position
• Support warranty evaluations and other product-related business initiatives as required

Requirements:

• • Minimum of 8 years of experience in technical product marketing, product management, applications engineering, technical sales, or a related role
• • Strong technical and commercial business acumen
• • Proven ability to develop and execute product growth strategies
• • Excellent presentation and communication skills with the ability to engage diverse technical and commercial audiences
• • Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management capabilities
• • Exceptional analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills
• • Experience working cross-functionally within global organizations
• • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
• • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
• • Self-motivated, entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for customer success and business growth
• • Ability to travel approximately 50%, including overnight domestic and occasional international travel
• • Ability to work effectively in customer, laboratory, manufacturing, office, and field environments
• • Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout North America
• • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Science, Business, or a related technical discipline preferred
• • Prior experience within the vacuum technology industry is strongly preferred
• • Experience supporting scientific, research, semiconductor, advanced manufacturing, or high-technology markets is highly desirable
