Regional Sales Executive – Healthcare Revenue Cycle Management (RCM)

Cognizant is a technology and business services company seeking a Regional Sales Executive to drive new business growth for healthcare Revenue Cycle Management solutions. The role focuses on consultative selling, managing the full sales cycle, developing territory strategies, building healthcare client relationships, and partnering with internal teams to support client growth.

Responsibilities:

• Drive new business development opportunities across clearinghouse/EDI, credentialing, and full-service Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) solutions
• Identify, prospect, and engage healthcare organizations through outbound outreach, referrals, networking, and industry events
• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including C-suite executives, revenue cycle leaders, practice administrators, and operational decision-makers
• Deliver compelling presentations, solution demonstrations, and consultative discussions through virtual and in-person meetings
• Manage the entire sales cycle, from prospecting and qualification through proposal development, contract negotiation, and closing
• Develop and execute territory sales plans designed to achieve and exceed revenue objectives
• Utilize Salesforce and other sales tools to manage pipeline activities, forecasts, account strategies, and performance metrics
• Partner with implementation, operations, marketing, and client success teams to ensure successful client onboarding and growth
• Conduct business reviews with existing clients to identify expansion opportunities and maximize client satisfaction
• Monitor healthcare industry trends, payer changes, reimbursement models, and competitive activity to position solutions effectively

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or 5+ years of equivalent experience in healthcare revenue cycle sales
• 5+ years of experience selling healthcare Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) services and solutions
• Proven track record of consistently achieving or exceeding sales quotas and revenue targets
• Strong understanding of healthcare provider operations, revenue cycle workflows, and reimbursement processes
• Experience selling professional services and business solutions to healthcare providers, physician groups, health systems, or acute care organizations
• Proficiency with CRM platforms, including Salesforce, for pipeline management, forecasting, and reporting
• Strong consultative selling, negotiation, and relationship management skills
• Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and executive-level communication abilities
• Extensive knowledge of clearinghouse/EDI services, provider credentialing, and end-to-end RCM solutions
• Deep understanding of healthcare reimbursement methodologies, payer enrollment, claims management, denials, and collections processes
• Experience developing and executing regional sales strategies in competitive healthcare markets
• Demonstrated success cross-selling and upselling within existing client relationships
• Established network within provider organizations, physician practices, health systems, and healthcare leadership communities
• Experience utilizing data and analytics to drive sales performance and strategic decision-making
• Industry certifications, healthcare associations, or professional affiliations related to healthcare administration, revenue cycle management, or healthcare technology
• Recognition as a subject matter expert, industry thought leader, or trusted advisor within the healthcare RCM space
