Information Technology Project Manager

The Information Technology Project Manager will lead complex enterprise technology initiatives through the full project lifecycle, managing scope, schedules, budgets, risks, governance, stakeholders, and delivery quality.

Responsibilities:

• Lead complex IT projects through the full project lifecycle, from initiation and planning through execution, implementation, and closeout
• Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, resource plans, communication plans, and governance documentation
• Own project scope, timeline, budget, and overall delivery, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality expectations
• Manage project financials, including budget development, forecasting, variance analysis, and resource planning
• Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks while managing issues, dependencies, assumptions, and change requests throughout the project lifecycle
• Facilitate project governance by maintaining RAID logs, status reporting, executive communications, decision logs, and project documentation
• Lead cross-functional teams through influence and accountability while coordinating business stakeholders, technical teams, vendors, and leadership
• Drive stakeholder alignment, facilitate difficult conversations, resolve conflicts, and remove project roadblocks
• Monitor project health using key performance indicators and recommend corrective actions when necessary
• Ensure projects comply with organizational PMO standards, governance processes, and SDLC methodologies

Requirements:

• 5+ years of formal IT Project Management experience leading enterprise technology initiatives within mid-sized or large corporate organizations
• Demonstrated success managing multiple concurrent projects with direct accountability for scope, schedule, budget, quality, and delivery
• Strong project financial management experience, including budgeting, forecasting, cost tracking, and variance management
• Proven experience identifying, assessing, and mitigating project risks while managing issues, dependencies, and change throughout the project lifecycle
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, governance frameworks, Agile practices, Waterfall, and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Experience producing executive-level project documentation, including project charters, project plans, RAID logs, communication plans, status reports, and executive presentations
• Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence leaders, technical teams, and business partners without direct authority
• Strong facilitation, negotiation, organizational, and decision-making skills
• Experience using project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, Azure DevOps, Smartsheet, or similar platforms
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams
• Experience managing enterprise IT initiatives within healthcare or health insurance organizations
• Experience working within a Project Management Office (PMO)
• PMP certification
• CSM, PMI-ACP, or equivalent certifications
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
