Cyber Security Engineer

Resourcesys Inc is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to serve as a senior technical escalation point for complex security platform, configuration, integration, and incident-related issues. The role focuses on enterprise security platform administration, firewall and endpoint security, SIEM/XDR integrations, incident response, security control optimization, and cross-functional technical leadership.

Responsibilities:

• Own and optimize enterprise security platforms and security controls
• Lead complex troubleshooting, break/fix, integrations, and implementation workstreams
• Administer and troubleshoot Palo Alto Firewalls
• Manage firewall policies and rules in Prisma & SCM
• Support network segmentation, remote access, web filtering, and secure connectivity
• Provide advanced engineering support for Microsoft Defender Endpoint, Email Security & DLP
• Support SIEM/XDR integrations, detection tuning, and security policy optimization
• Co-lead technical containment, remediation, recovery, and hardening during security incidents
• Support security platform upgrades, migrations, audit remediation, and control validation
• Work closely with SOC, Network, Infrastructure, Service Desk, Compliance, Audit, Vulnerability Management, and vendors
• Develop security baselines, runbooks, documentation, and automation opportunities

Requirements:

• 5+ years of cybersecurity / information security experience
• Strong hands-on Security Engineering / Security Operations / Infrastructure Security
• Advanced Palo Alto Firewall administration and troubleshooting
• Hands-on Microsoft Defender – Endpoint, Email Security & DLP
• SIEM/XDR integration and detection-supporting technologies
• Incident Response, containment, RCA, remediation, and control validation
• SecureLink, SFTP/FTP, PGP, SSH Keys & Certificates
• Security platform implementation, integration, testing, deployment, and rollback
• Experience in a highly regulated enterprise environment
• Strong change management, documentation, vendor coordination, and stakeholder communication skills
• Ability to lead technical teams and cross-functional security initiatives
• CISSP / CISM or equivalent
• Microsoft Security certification
• Palo Alto PCNSE or comparable network security certification
