Software Engineering Intern

DecisionPoint Corporation is seeking a Software Engineering Intern to support development of the VetSports mobile application, a Java and React Native platform for veteran-focused sports and community engagement initiatives. The intern will develop and maintain application features, collaborate with engineers and stakeholders, participate in code reviews, assist with testing and debugging, and gain exposure to DevSecOps workflows.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain features for a Java / React Native mobile application
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
• Collaborate with software engineers and project stakeholders on application development tasks
• Participate in code reviews and development discussions
• Assist with testing, debugging, and improving application performance
• Gain exposure to DevSecOps workflows including Linux environments and GitLab CI pipelines

Requirements:

• Currently enrolled in a Software Engineering, Computer Science, Management Information Systems (MIS), or related degree program
• Junior or Senior standing (actively taking upper-level major coursework)
• Basic experience with software development concepts and programming
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
