Intern - Software Engineer - Summer 2027

Veterans United Home Loans is a VA lender serving Veterans and military families. The Software Engineer Intern will support real projects in areas including software development, data engineering, and MLOps while building technical skills through hands-on experience. The role involves developing and testing solutions, working with data, collaborating with Technology and Product Development teams, and improving documentation and processes.

Responsibilities:

• Building, testing, and improving technical solutions that help our teams work smarter and more efficiently
• Working with data by developing processes, validating information, and helping improve its quality and reliability
• Testing code, applications, and quantitative models to make sure they perform as expected
• Collaborating with Technology and Product Development teams to solve problems and support business needs
• Creating and maintaining clear documentation so processes, projects, and solutions are easy to understand
• Learning new tools, technologies, and approaches while building your skills through hands-on experience and professional development
• Pitching in wherever needed (excluding licensed tasks) to help foster a supportive and collaborative team culture

Requirements:

• Whether you come from a background in software development, data analytics, or a related technical field, you can be successful in this role
