IT Business Systems Analyst II

Oceaneering is a global provider of engineered services and products serving offshore energy, defense, aerospace, and other industries. The IT Business Systems Analyst II supports the full lifecycle of enterprise software acquisition and deployment while providing analytical, documentation, and administrative support to program management leadership. The role coordinates stakeholders, manages software-related incidents, supports governance and compliance, and maintains enterprise knowledge assets.

Responsibilities:

• Support end-to-end procurement and installation activities for new enterprise systems and software — from requirements gathering and elaboration to working with process stakeholders including SCM, EngageIT, Security, Corporate IT and the requesting units to evaluate, acquire and install new software and business systems
• Ensure compliance with the New Software Acquisition process and all other applicable policies throughout the software lifecycle including but not limited to cybersecurity, SCM and IT requirements
• Coordinate with software vendors and internal stakeholders on software delivery timelines, deployment scheduling, version control, and release management to ensure smooth, disruption-free rollouts across the enterprise
• Provide analytical support, documentation, and stakeholder coordination that enable program teams to execute with precision and accountability
• Support the preparation of executive briefings, program reporting, risk management artifacts, and acquisition documentation, ensuring that program leadership has the timely, accurate information needed to make sound decisions
• Work with System Admins to track and ensure that high-priority software and Business Systems IT issues/tickets are actively worked and are resolved in line with EA SLA terms
• Support proactive cross-functional engagement with SCM, Finance, IT, and end-user communities on enterprise-wide initiatives to ensure harmonization of effort and resources, process governance and compliance, and continuous improvement
• Support the maintenance of the knowledge assets including the System and Reports Catalogs, ensuring they remain visible, relevant and accurate

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in information systems, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
• 2+ years of progressive experience in business systems analysis, process administration and control, enterprise systems administration, system integration, or a related role within a complex, cross-functional organization
• Experience with any of the following functional domains: Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, Contracting, or IT
• Experience developing and maintaining catalogs and process documents in an enterprise environment
• Experience with Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and requirements gathering and analysis
• Demonstrated experience producing high-quality functional specifications, SOPs, workflow diagrams (Visio or equivalent), and stakeholder presentations
• Experience with business systems (ERP, MRP, PDM, PLM, Microsoft 365, etc.) and cross-module and/or cross-system integrations
• Experience with software acquisition and implementation lifecycle
• Experience with business process automation and improvement
• Project or Program Management – PMP or PgMP certification or experience is a bonus
• Experience in aerospace, defense, government contracting, or highly regulated manufacturing environments
