Junior Data Analyst – DHA

Montcure, LLC provides federal financial management, audit readiness, risk management, IT, cybersecurity, and data analytics support to government agencies. The Junior Data Analyst will execute weekly data-quality rules for the Defense Health Agency Disability Evaluation System, classify and route errors, maintain the error register, deliver ad hoc analysis, support survey monitoring and cohort validation, and maintain the caregiver compensation database.

Responsibilities:

• Execute the documented data-quality rule set on a fixed weekly cycle across all program-related systems and capture every exception
• Classify each detected error by cause category and route it to the responsible Military Department, Department of Veterans Affairs, or DHA system owner — to a named individual rather than an organization
• Maintain the error register, including control number, detection date and rule, affected record, assigned cause, owner, action taken, closure date, and verification method, and generate the weekly error listing from it
• Deliver ad hoc analysis and reporting within two business days in the specified format, recording the query and pull date at the time of production
• Support the satisfaction survey program by monitoring field periods, validating cohort lists for grade, rank, contact information, and participation eligibility, and returning undeliverable data to the error register
• Maintain the caregiver compensation database as a shared cumulative record and support quarterly compilation and trend analysis
• Support case research, including verification of separation dates against personnel record sources and follow-through on correction requests

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree
• Equivalent combination of relevant experience and education may be considered in lieu of a degree
• 2+ years of data analysis experience
• Experience executing scheduled data validation routines
• Experience maintaining an issue, defect, or error register
• SQL and advanced Microsoft Excel
• Demonstrated accuracy under recurring weekly deadlines
• Strong attention to detail when working high-volume record populations
• Clear written communication for documenting errors, causes, and corrective actions
• Ability to coordinate corrections with external Government organizations
• Experience reconciling records between two systems of record is beneficial
• Experience supporting survey administration and field-period monitoring is beneficial
• Experience performing case-level data research is beneficial
• Microsoft Access and Power BI are beneficial
• Familiarity with federal benefits, personnel, or health data is beneficial
