Principal Product Designer, Provider Platform

Zocdoc is a healthcare marketplace helping patients find and book care while supporting providers and practices. The Principal Product Designer will shape design direction across complex marketplace and provider platform experiences, establish scalable systems, and influence product strategy. The role will also lead AI-native design and engineering workflows and mentor teams across the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Defining and leading design direction across complex, multi-team product areas, identifying high-leverage opportunities and guiding teams toward impactful solutions
• Partnering with product, engineering, data, and leadership to shape strategy, influence roadmaps, and drive alignment across ambiguous spaces
• Designing and overseeing cohesive, end-to-end experiences across systems, ensuring scalability and consistency across marketplace and provider and practice products
• Establishing and evolving design systems, frameworks, and patterns that enable high-quality, extensible solutions across teams
• Elevating the quality bar through hands-on work, critique, and mentorship while connecting execution to a broader product and experience vision
• Driving efficient delivery of high-impact work, guiding tradeoffs between speed, fidelity, and long-term scalability
• Leading the integration of AI-native workflows, using emerging tools to accelerate concept-to-production cycles and define new ways of working
