Mechanical Engineer

MEP STAFF is a recruitment firm serving MEP engineering and construction organizations across the United States. The Mechanical Engineer will design HVAC, plumbing, piping, and fire protection systems for commercial and industrial projects, conduct field examinations and system calculations, select equipment, develop specifications, and participate in project meetings.

Responsibilities:

• Examine field conditions as required to support development and completion of projects
• Design mechanical systems including calculations of heating and cooling loads while adhering to the firm’s QA/QC process
• Select and layout mechanical equipment such as pumps, chiller, fans and boilers
• Develop project specifications
• Attend meetings with architects, owners and building managers to discuss future and or current projects

Requirements:

• Skill in the use of AutoCAD, REVIT, Navisworks, Trace and Bluebeam
• Ability to clearly communicate in both oral and written communication to individuals or groups
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering
• EIT / PE license a plus
