Sr. Product Manager

First American, through its ServiceMac sub-servicing entity, provides technology, products, and services for the mortgage and real estate industries. The Sr. Product Manager will define and communicate product strategy, conduct market and user research, translate strategy into requirements, and lead product roadmap execution. The role collaborates with customers, technology teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver competitive products and successful outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Drive the vision and delivery of innovative new products to keep the business relevant and competitive
• Develop, define, maintain and communicate the product strategy and roadmap
• Translate product strategy into detailed requirements
• Determine and conduct market research to identify user need for new products
• Prioritize product opportunities using criteria and requirements defined during research
• Define high level customer requirements for the entire customer experience including product features and functions, target markets, and pricing
• Works with users to understand and validate their needs using Lean and UX design principles
• Creates and uses wireframes to convey new feature ideas
• Develop metrics to assess the success of products and features and determine necessary enhancements
• Lead and participate in planning meetings and provide advice and guidance on direction of products
• Collaborate with customers, team members, and outside influencers to ensure a solid and well-rounded understanding of products and developing needs
• Execute the product roadmap by providing direction to the product development team for product evolution and priorities, ensuring that the experience gained from external market activities, usage analysis, competitive response, and market research is reflected in future product releases
• Assess market competition by cultivating knowledge of competitor products to identify product gaps, assess and address competitive threats, and gain a competitive edge
• Required to perform duties outside of normal work hours based on business needs

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 5-7 years' directly related experience in product or services development
• Strong understanding and abilities related to Excel and Visio (or comparable)
• Experience in product development, requirements and risk analysis, pricing, planning, competitive analysis, and financial planning and strategy
• Strong understanding of Agile, Lean and UX Principles
• Knowledge of consumer marketing analytics
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Keen ability to explain complex concepts across the organization and to large audiences and clients
• Sound decision making, creativity, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to build relationships and ensure cooperation across the organization
• High level of business acumen, strategic agility, ability to develop others, influence outcomes and change, and negotiate for resources
• Successful track record designing, developing, and executing complex projects
• Ability to organize own work, set and meet timelines
