Vice President of Market Research and Customer Growth

Fillyx is seeking a senior executive to lead market intelligence, customer insights, growth planning, and customer acquisition and retention initiatives. The role will develop data-driven strategies, translate research into measurable growth actions, establish performance frameworks, and lead cross-functional teams and external partners.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the Market Research & Customer Growth function, including market intelligence, customer analysis, growth planning, and customer acquisition and retention strategies
• Develop research and growth strategies aligned with business objectives, target markets, customer needs, and long-term organizational priorities
• Conduct market assessments to identify emerging trends, customer segments, competitive dynamics, and opportunities for business expansion
• Analyze customer behavior, preferences, engagement patterns, purchasing decisions, and retention trends to identify opportunities for growth
• Develop customer segmentation frameworks and identify high-potential audiences, customer profiles, and market opportunities
• Translate market research findings into actionable recommendations for customer acquisition, engagement, conversion, retention, and expansion
• Partner with Marketing to improve campaign targeting, audience development, messaging, channel selection, and customer acquisition efficiency
• Work with Sales and Business Development to identify prospective customer segments, evaluate market demand, and support customer pipeline development
• Collaborate with Product and Customer Experience teams to incorporate customer feedback, market insights, and behavioral data into product and service improvements
• Establish measurable customer growth objectives, KPIs, dashboards, and reporting processes to track performance across acquisition, engagement, retention, and customer value
• Evaluate customer acquisition channels, conversion rates, retention performance, and growth initiatives to identify opportunities for improvement
• Develop research programs using customer interviews, surveys, market studies, competitive analysis, and quantitative data
• Monitor competitor strategies, market positioning, customer offerings, and industry developments to identify potential growth opportunities and threats
• Conduct market sizing, demand analysis, and customer opportunity assessments to support business planning and resource allocation
• Establish structured processes for collecting, analyzing, and sharing customer and market intelligence across relevant departments
• Work with Finance and business leaders to evaluate growth forecasts, campaign investments, customer acquisition costs, and the expected commercial impact of proposed initiatives
• Develop executive-level research reports, growth assessments, performance reviews, and strategic recommendations
• Identify opportunities to improve customer onboarding, engagement, reactivation, retention, and long-term relationship development
• Coordinate cross-functional growth initiatives and ensure that research findings are translated into measurable actions
• Manage external research firms, data providers, consultants, and other partners supporting market intelligence and customer growth activities
• Continuously improve research methodologies, customer analytics, reporting tools, and growth measurement frameworks
• Build, lead, and develop a high-performing Market Research & Customer Growth team as organizational requirements expand
• Maintain a high standard of analytical rigor, data integrity, customer understanding, accountability, and execution

Requirements:

• 20+ years of progressive experience in market research, customer growth, customer insights, growth strategy, marketing analytics, business development, or a related field
• Significant leadership experience managing market research, customer analytics, growth initiatives, customer acquisition, or retention programs
• Demonstrated experience using market intelligence and customer data to develop and execute business growth strategies
• Strong understanding of customer segmentation, market sizing, competitive analysis, customer lifecycle management, and growth performance measurement
• Experience developing and managing KPIs related to customer acquisition, conversion, engagement, retention, and customer value
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to translate quantitative and qualitative findings into actionable recommendations
• Experience collaborating with Marketing, Sales, Product, Customer Success, Business Development, Finance, and executive leadership
• Familiarity with CRM platforms, customer analytics tools, business intelligence systems, survey platforms, and marketing analytics solutions
• Experience evaluating customer acquisition channels, customer behavior, campaign performance, and opportunities to improve growth efficiency
• Strong understanding of research methodologies, customer feedback programs, competitive intelligence, and market opportunity assessment
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple initiatives, establish priorities, and coordinate cross-functional teams
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain research findings and growth recommendations to senior executives
• Experience managing research vendors, consultants, data providers, or other external partners
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and sound judgment when handling customer information and business-sensitive data
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Economics, Statistics, Analytics, or a related field required
• MBA or other advanced credentials are strongly preferred
• Experience in financial services, fintech, payments, banking, brokerage, trading, technology, SaaS, or other data-driven industries is a plus
