Database Engineer

Maximus provides technology and consulting services supporting the USAF mission. The Database Engineer will provide subject matter expertise, analytical support, process improvement, requirements development, database design, software engineering, and systems architecture. The role also involves developing automated installation scripts and database solutions in multi-tiered environments.

Responsibilities:

• Typical duties include analysis, planning, developing requirements documents, building functional models, developing procedures, developing functional architectures, and other related management and technical duties
• Demonstrated experience in developing and maintaining automated installation scripts
• Demonstrated experience developing database solutions in a multi-tiered environment
• Role may require travel to a site 10-20% of the time

Requirements:

• Active TS/SCI with the ability to obtain a CI Poly
• At least 10 years of overall experience in the functional area
• Bachelor's degree required (Master's may substitute for 2 years)
• 10 years of combined experience in: (a) Database development and software engineering/development; (b) Database Design and Data Modeling; (c) Requirements analysis/generation; (d) Developing systems and software architectures
• Must have 5 years' experience working with Enterprise DB
• 7 years of experience with PostgreSQL
• Required Certification: DCWF Job Code: 421 Advanced
• Demonstrated experience in developing and maintaining automated installation scripts
• Demonstrated experience developing database solutions in a multi-tiered environment
• Oracle DBA Certified Professional, CISSP
