AI & Distributed Systems Backend Engineer - Senior - Consulting - Location OPEN

EY is hiring a Senior AI & Distributed Systems Backend Engineer for its Platforms Practice. The role focuses on developing software components and services, defining customer requirements, and delivering scalable platform solutions while collaborating with clients and engineering teams.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborating with clients to gather and analyze requirements, ensuring that the final product meets their needs
• Designing and developing user interfaces that are not only functional but also enhance user experience
• Writing clean, maintainable code and creating specifications that support business objectives

Requirements:

• Work on a team with a get-things-done attitude, so you'll have lots of autonomy to create impact while tackling complex technical challenges
• Contribute to design and architecture investigations and decisions
• Will work in an Agile/Scrum environment to deliver high quality software against aggressive schedules
• Write clean, maintainable code, and perform peer code-reviews
• Strong understanding of agile delivery and development methodologies
• Proficiency in application development tools and quality assurance practices
• Ability to build and manage relationships with clients, fostering trust and value
• Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex ideas with clarity
• A Bachelor's degree required (4-year degree)
• Typically, no less than 2 - 4 years relevant experience
• Programming languages: 3-5+ years of experience with Java or C#
• Frameworks: 3-5+ years of experience with Spring Boot, .Net or .Net Core
• A solid grounding in Computer Science fundamentals
• Experience with unit testing or TDD
• A team player possessing strong communication skills with staff at all levels
• You are a self- and quick learner, regardless of the languages and technologies used
• Analytical mind with problem-solving aptitude
• Experience building successful production scalable software systems preferred
• Nice to have: Experience with AWS or GCP
• A passion for delivering commercial software products and platforms to market
• Be deeply technical and constantly in a state of learning
• Able to communicate clearly and efficiently with a variety of audiences including developers, clients, customers, partners and executives
• Fearless in getting “hands-on” with technology and execution
• Strong understanding of modern software engineering processes
