AI / Algorithm Engineer – Vascular Imaging (Bedford, MA)

Philips is hiring an AI / Algorithm Engineer to productize, optimize, and deploy deep learning pipelines for vascular imaging in medical devices. The role also develops cardiovascular imaging algorithms and contributes to testing, performance evaluation, verification, validation, risk management, and regulatory submissions.

Responsibilities:

• Port, optimize, and deploy existing deep learning pipelines across hardware platforms, improving memory use, throughput, and latency
• Convert and integrate models across frameworks and runtimes (e.g., ONNX), working with software and systems engineers to deliver robust, maintainable product code
• Build automated tests and benchmarks demonstrating that ported algorithms reproduce reference results, and document them as verification evidence
• Develop new algorithms for X-ray angiography, intravascular OCT/IVUS, and other cardiovascular imaging, from ideation and prototyping with clinical partners through product-ready implementation
• Drive data sourcing, curation, and annotation, and evaluate model performance with rigorous statistical methods
• Contribute to verification, validation, risk management, and regulatory submissions for AI-enabled medical devices
