Job Title: Linux Specialist - SUSE Linux & Pacemaker Cluster Configuration

Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Linux Specialist with strong expertise in SUSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES) and Pacemaker cluster installation and configuration. The consultant will be responsible for setting up and configuring Pacemaker from scratch, preparing the Linux servers for SAP HANA installation and ensuring the cluster environment is ready for the SAP team.
The client does not have internal Linux resources with Pacemaker expertise, so the consultant must be capable of independently managing the complete Linux-side setup without customer Linux team support.
Install, configure, and troubleshoot SUSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES) environments.
Perform Pacemaker and Corosync cluster installation and configuration from scratch.
Configure cluster resources, nodes, quorum, fencing (STONITH), and failover mechanisms.
Validate cluster functionality, high availability, and failover scenarios.
Perform Linux-level troubleshooting and resolve cluster configuration issues.
Prepare and validate the server environment for SAP HANA installation by the SAP team.
Collaborate with SAP HANA specialists to ensure the infrastructure meets installation prerequisites.
Document the configuration, setup procedures, and operational handover.
Strong hands-on experience with SUSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES).
Proven experience installing and configuring Pacemaker clusters from scratch.
Expertise in Corosync, cluster resource management, quorum, fencing, and failover configuration.
Strong Linux administration, shell scripting, troubleshooting, and system configuration skills.
Understanding of high-availability architecture and clustered server environments.
Experience preparing Linux infrastructure for SAP HANA environments is preferred.
