Project Deployed Consultant (Contract)

Project Brains is seeking a Senior AI/ML Engineer to support a US healthcare technology client building telemedicine and medication price-tracking applications. The role involves designing, building, deploying, monitoring, and iterating production agentic AI systems in Glean, with responsibilities spanning LLM pipelines, integrations, evaluation, safety, reliability, security, and stakeholder communication.

Responsibilities:

• Build production agents in Glean using Agent Builder (triggers, multi-step orchestration, actions, memory) grounded in enterprise data through connectors and permission-aware retrieval
• Design and implement LLM reasoning pipelines using OpenAI/GPT Enterprise via Glean Model Hub and/or API (prompting, structured outputs, tool/function calling, retrieval context, quality/confidence scoring)
• Develop custom actions and integrations where native connectors do not exist, including authentication, error handling, retries, and rate-limit-aware batching
• Create reusable patterns/services for agent capabilities (data access, retrieval, governance, reasoning components) to reduce bespoke build and speed future agent delivery
• Implement evaluation and safety guardrails including offline/online evals, confidence thresholds, human-in-the-loop routing, monitoring, and observability for production readiness
• Operate agents as production software by tuning for reliability, latency, and cost while maintaining secure handling of sensitive data and auditable behavior
• Communicate clearly with client stakeholders by explaining architecture decisions, trade-offs, and delivery status in a structured, decision-ready manner
