Description

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead the design and modernization of enterprise data platforms. This role is based in Charlotte, NC with a hybrid work schedule. As a contract position, the role involves defining strategic architecture and driving scalable solutions across on-premise and cloud ecosystems. The ideal candidate will have expertise in distributed data processing, data integration, and cloud architecture.

Key Responsibilities

Define and maintain the enterprise architecture roadmap aligned with business and technology strategies.
Design scalable architectures for data ingestion, processing, storage, integration, and consumption.
Design migration and modernization initiatives involving legacy platforms and cloud-native architectures.
Collaborate with engineering teams to implement scalable data pipelines.
Ensure data architectures comply with regulatory, risk, privacy, and security requirements.

Qualifications

12 years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or related technology roles.
7 years of experience designing enterprise-scale data platforms.
Proven experience architecting large-scale solutions utilizing data platforms and cloud technologies.
Experience leading enterprise modernization and migration initiatives.
Experience with data governance platforms and modern query engines preferred.
