Founding Marketing Manager (Part-Time, Equity Only)

PromoFlix is hiring a Founding Marketing Manager to build and execute marketing that raises awareness and drives paid subscriptions for its AI-powered personalized video outreach platform. The role partners with the CEO on strategy, runs campaigns and marketing operations, and manages two interns.

Responsibilities:

• Work with the CEO to structure our marketing and decide what to do first, so the earliest efforts make the most impact
• Sharpen our messaging and positioning, and rethink our ideal customer profile across local service businesses, recruiters, and marketing agencies
• Ensure that the "basics" are in place and optimized for a new business
• Enhance the website: copy, landing pages, and conversion improvements
• Plan and run email campaigns, from cold outreach to nurture sequences for trial users and leads
• Build our presence on LinkedIn, Reddit and Meta — posts, community participation, and content
• Launch and manage small, efficient paid ad tests on Reddit, LinkedIn and Meta
• Grow our agency partner and affiliate programs
• Set up and connect the tools and workflows that make campaigns run smoothly
• Manage two interns: give them clear tasks, review their work, and help them grow
• Report weekly on what's working, using attribution data. Cut what isn't working, double down on what is working

Requirements:

• 3+ years of hands-on marketing at a SaaS company or a marketing agency
• Has run multichannel campaigns end to end yourself: email, social and paid ads
• Writes clear, persuasive copy, and can produce or direct simple creative (graphics, short video, landing pages)
• Comfortable with marketing technology: connecting tools, building automations, and fixing workflows that break
• Resourceful with a small budget — you know how to get real results without big spend, and the budget will grow as revenue does
• You think like an owner: you find out why a campaign underperformed, not just that it did
• You say plainly when something isn't worth doing or needs another approach
• You bring ideas, not just execution — you'll help decide what we do, not only how
• Agency marketing, partner marketing, or affiliate program experience
• Social media community marketing done well (genuine participation, not spam)
• LinkedIn, Reddit and Meta ads management
• Video marketing, since our product is video
• Experience marketing to local service businesses, recruiters, or agencies
• Familiarity with the tools we use today: Instantly and Airtable (willing to switch)
• Experience using AI heavily in marketing and automation — we're open to your ideas on martech tools and vendors
• Above all: you want to build value in a company you partly own and benefit from , rather than punching a clock to build something for someone else's gain. Equity in a product you shape matters more to you than an hourly rate
