Digital Marketing, SEO/GEO & Community Growth Intern

Girl Tribe Worldwide is seeking an intern to expand its digital presence and grow its global community. The role focuses on improving discovery through SEO and GEO, developing website and social media content, supporting community growth, and tracking digital performance.

Responsibilities:

• Research relevant keywords, search trends, and questions women are asking online about female empowerment, women's communities, networking, personal growth, and supporting other women
• Develop and write SEO-optimized website pages, articles, FAQs, and supporting content that improve our visibility in organic search
• Build out the "pages behind the pages" —dedicated, search-friendly pages that may not appear in the website's primary navigation but are accessible to search engines and designed to attract new visitors
• Develop topic clusters and supporting pages around women's empowerment, global sisterhood, women's networking, community building, mentorship, and philanthropy
• Optimize website content for traditional search engines, including Google and Bing
• Apply GEO best practices to help AI-powered discovery platforms such as ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity, and other AI search experiences understand and reference Girl Tribe Worldwide
• Write compelling page titles, meta descriptions, headings, image descriptions, and internal links
• Support website improvements using Wix and its available SEO tools
• Identify opportunities to improve the website's structure, search visibility, and organic traffic
• Ensure all content is informative, original, consistent with our brand voice, and designed to encourage visitors to explore and join the community
• Assist with the daily management of Girl Tribe Worldwide's social media presence, particularly Instagram and other relevant platforms
• Develop a consistent content calendar that supports our mission and community growth objectives
• Create engaging posts, Reels, Stories, carousels, and short-form videos
• Write compelling captions that encourage conversation, sharing, and engagement
• Identify trending topics, relevant hashtags, and content opportunities aligned with our audience
• Repurpose podcast conversations, community stories, and website content into social media material
• Monitor engagement and assist with responding to comments and community interactions
• Research collaboration opportunities with women entrepreneurs, creators, thought leaders, and community advocates
• Track social media performance and recommend opportunities for improvement
• Research new digital channels and strategies to introduce Girl Tribe Worldwide to women globally
• Identify relevant online communities, organizations, publications, and partnership opportunities
• Help develop digital campaigns designed to turn website visitors and social media followers into engaged community members
• Create clear calls to action that encourage visitors to learn about our mission, join the community, listen to the podcast, and participate in initiatives
• Support awareness of the Girl Tribe Worldwide Collective Fund and our broader philanthropic mission
• Research competitors and other successful global women's communities to identify opportunities for differentiation
• Write articles and website content focused on subjects relevant to our global audience
• Develop engaging content highlighting women's stories, personal growth, entrepreneurship, community, and empowerment
• Support podcast promotion through episode summaries, searchable articles, social media clips, and written content
• Maintain a consistent brand voice that is sophisticated, inclusive, inspiring, and authentic
• Ensure content is accurate, original, and relevant rather than simply produced to increase keyword volume
• Assist with setting up and monitoring Google Search Console, Google Analytics, and Wix SEO reporting
• Track organic website traffic, keyword rankings, impressions, engagement, and community sign-ups
• Monitor which content and pages generate the greatest visibility and interest
• Prepare a simple weekly progress report highlighting completed work, results, and opportunities
• Recommend adjustments based on performance data

Requirements:

• We are looking for someone who is intellectually curious, creative, resourceful, and comfortable working independently
• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in marketing, communications, digital media, journalism, business, or a related field
• Strong writing, editing, and research skills
• An interest in SEO, GEO, digital marketing, and AI-powered search
• Familiarity with Instagram, TikTok, and other social platforms
• Basic understanding of website content management; Wix experience is a plus
• Interest in tools such as Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Semrush, Canva, and ChatGPT
• Ability to create engaging, well-written content with attention to detail
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects
• Genuine enthusiasm for women's empowerment, global community building, and social impact
• Previous SEO experience is preferred but not required
