Software Engineer

Pulsewave is hiring a Software Engineer intern to build and maintain back-end services for its audio analysis and data intelligence platform. The role contributes to APIs, data pipelines, audio algorithm integration, system performance, testing, debugging, code reviews, and technical documentation.

Responsibilities:

• The Software Engineer intern will collaborate with the engineering team to design, implement, and test back-end services that support Pulsewave’s audio analysis and data intelligence platform
• Daily responsibilities include writing clean, maintainable code, contributing to APIs and data processing pipelines, debugging and resolving issues, and participating in code reviews
• The intern will also assist in integrating audio analysis algorithms, improving system performance, and documenting technical solutions to support ongoing development

Requirements:

• Strong foundation in Computer Science and Software Development principles
• Proficiency in Programming and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)
• Experience or coursework in Back-End Web Development
• Familiarity with at least one modern programming language (e.g., Python, Java, C++, or similar)
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment and collaborate effectively with distributed teams
• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Interest in audio processing, data analytics, or music technology is highly beneficial
