Location: Jersey City, NJ (Day 1 Onsite)

Duration : Long Term Contract

• 7+ years of Debt Platform experience
• Hands-on experience with JIRA for User Story and Epic creation
• Recent experience writing detailed User Stories and Acceptance Criteria
• Willingness to work onsite from Jersey City, NJ (5 days onsite)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Product Manager / Product Owner to support a large-scale Debt Platform Modernization initiative. This is a highly hands-on role focused on defining business processes, creating implementation-ready user stories, managing product backlogs, and working closely with business stakeholders, developers, architects, and QA teams to deliver modern debt-market capabilities.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in debt issuance, fixed income, securities settlement, or capital markets platforms and be comfortable driving requirements from discovery through production release.

Key Requirements

Mandatory Skills

• Minimum 7 years of debt platform experience within Capital Markets, Fixed Income, Debt Issuance, Trade Lifecycle, or Securities Settlement.
• Recent hands-on experience creating User Stories, Epics, Features, and Acceptance Criteria for Agile delivery teams.
• Strong expertise with JIRA and Confluence for backlog management, story writing, sprint planning, and requirements tracking.
• Ability to independently facilitate stakeholder discussions, define business workflows, document requirements, and drive product decisions.
• Must be willing to work onsite from Jersey City, NJ.

Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and document current-state and future-state business processes.
• Create and maintain a prioritized product backlog with detailed user stories, epics, features, and acceptance criteria.
• Collaborate closely with business users, SMEs, developers, architects, and QA teams throughout the SDLC.
• Support sprint planning, backlog refinement, product reviews, UAT, and production releases.
• Translate complex business requirements into actionable product deliverables.
• Review wireframes and prototypes using Figma and ensure alignment with business workflows.
• Drive requirement clarifications, defect triage, and product acceptance activities.
