Social Media & Influencer Marketing Director

Jive PR + Digital is hiring a Social Media & Influencer Marketing Director to lead its social, influencer, and UGC practice. The role sets strategy, leads and develops the team, manages senior client relationships and account profitability, and supports new business growth.

Responsibilities:

• Own the social, influencer, and UGC strategy for every account in the practice, ensuring each plan ladders up to clear business goals such as sales, sign-ups, foot traffic, and brand growth
• Build integrated programs where organic social, influencer partnerships, UGC, and paid amplification work together as one system
• Set the creative bar for the department, from big campaign ideas to the hooks and formats that stop the scroll
• Keep Jive at the pulse of culture, spotting trends, platform shifts, and creator movements early and turning them into opportunities for clients
• Lead influencer and creator programs from strategy and talent selection through negotiation, contracting, content, and reporting, with a standard of ROI-positive results
• Oversee budgets, creator rates, usage rights, and whitelisting and Spark Ads strategies that turn top creator content into high-performing paid assets
• Build measurement frameworks that connect influencer and social activity to revenue, cost per acquisition, ROAS, and other business outcomes
• Grow and maintain a deep network of creators, talent managers, and platform partners
• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of social and influencer managers and coordinators, building a culture of ownership, creativity, and accountability
• Set clear roles, priorities, and performance expectations, and run regular one-on-ones, feedback, and training
• Own the department’s processes, SOPs, and tools so the team can deliver excellent work consistently as we scale
• Review and approve strategies, content, campaigns, and reports before they reach clients
• Serve as the senior strategic partner to clients, building trust with marketing leaders and executives
• Lead quarterly business reviews that tell a clear story of results, insights, and what’s next
• Identify opportunities to expand scope and retain accounts, and navigate tough conversations with confidence and care
• Partner with leadership on new business, contributing to strategy, proposals, and pitches, and presenting with energy and credibility
• Hold the department accountable to client KPIs, monitoring performance and course-correcting quickly when results fall short
• Manage account scopes, hours, and profitability, flagging scope creep early and keeping every account on pace
• Turn performance data into clear recommendations that make each month better than the last

Requirements:

• 8+ years of experience in social media and influencer marketing, with at least 5 years in an agency environment (minimum)
• 5+ years of experience directly leading and developing a team
• Based in the US or Canada and authorized to work there
• A proven track record of influencer and social programs that delivered measurable business results, such as sales, ROAS, or customer growth, not just reach and engagement
• Deep expertise across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and emerging platforms, including algorithms, content formats, TikTok Shop, and paid amplification
• Experience managing influencer budgets, negotiating creator partnerships, and overseeing contracts and usage rights
• Strong client presence with experience leading senior client relationships and presenting to marketing executives
• Experience contributing to new business pitches and growing existing accounts
• Strong business acumen, including managing scopes, hours, and account profitability
• Experience with consumer brands
• ideally with millennial and Gen Z audiences
• Familiarity with tools such as Lefty or similar creator platforms, Dash Hudson or Sprout Social, Notion, Canva, and Google Workspace
