Social Media Marketing Manager

The Congo Operator – Heavy Machinery Network is hiring a Social Media Marketing Manager to grow and engage its online community across multiple platforms. The role manages social media publishing and community interaction, repurposes content, analyzes performance, and coordinates digital campaigns and partnerships while maintaining the brand’s voice and mission.

Responsibilities:

• The Social Media Marketing Manager is a full-time, remote role responsible for growing and engaging The Congo Operator’s online community across multiple platforms
• This role manages day-to-day social media activities, including planning and publishing posts, scheduling content, optimizing captions and hashtags, and responding to comments and messages
• The manager collaborates with content creators to repurpose video and educational materials into platform-specific assets, such as short clips, stories, carousels, and community posts
• The role includes analyzing performance metrics, running experiments to improve reach and engagement, and refining content strategies based on insights
• The Social Media Marketing Manager also coordinates digital campaigns, supports partnerships and collaborations, and ensures all online communication aligns with the brand’s voice and mission in the mining and heavy machinery sector

Requirements:

• Strong skills in Social Media Marketing and Social Media Optimization (SMO), with experience managing brand presence on platforms such as YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn
• Proficiency in Content Strategy and Digital Marketing, including campaign planning, audience targeting, and analytics-driven decision-making
• Excellent Communication skills, with the ability to write clear, engaging, and professional copy tailored to diverse audiences
• Ability to interpret social media metrics, use analytics tools, and translate data into actionable improvements
• Demonstrated ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines consistently
• Previous experience in social media management, digital content marketing, or related roles
• Familiarity or strong interest in mining, construction, heavy equipment, or industrial operations is highly beneficial
• Experience with basic graphic design or video editing tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Premiere, CapCut)
