fractional Affiliate Marketing Manager

Symbiome is hiring a fractional Affiliate Marketing Manager to own and grow its Commission Junction (CJ) program. The role focuses on building a scalable, profitable acquisition channel through publisher recruitment and management, commission optimization, brand protection, promotions, and performance reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Audit the current CJ program: active publishers, commission rates, conversion and payout performance, and where revenue is concentrated
• Recruit and activate publishers that fit a premium, science-led brand: content and editorial sites, beauty and wellness creators, and loyalty and cashback partners where they add incremental sales
• Manage publisher relationships: onboarding, briefs, product seeding, and regular performance check-ins
• Set and optimize commission structures, including tiered rates, bonuses and placement deals, to grow revenue at a sustainable cost of sale
• Plan affiliate promotions around launches and key retail moments, keeping offers within Symbiome's discount guidelines
• Protect the brand and the program: monitor coupon and trademark-bidding compliance, and reverse invalid transactions
• Keep links and creative current in CJ: product feeds, banners and copy
• Report monthly on revenue, new customers, cost of sale, top publishers and next steps

Requirements:

• 3+ years managing affiliate programs, with hands-on CJ experience
• Track record of scaling a DTC brand's affiliate revenue
• Strong grasp of affiliate economics: cost of sale, incrementality, attribution and fraud prevention
• Comfortable working independently and reporting clearly on a small number of hours
• ideally in prestige beauty, skincare or wellness
• Existing relationships with beauty and wellness publishers, editors and creators
• Familiarity with Shopify
