Legal Project Manager

Elevate Legal Talent is recruiting a Legal Operations Manager for an unnamed global technology organization. The role supports legal spend optimization, vendor management, law firm relationships, RFP processes, and operational improvements in partnership with legal and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Support legal operations initiatives focused on legal spend management and cost optimization
• Negotiate Alternative Fee Arrangements (AFAs) and identify opportunities to drive value through legal vendor engagements
• Manage and support law firm RFP processes, including vendor evaluations and stakeholder interviews
• Develop and maintain RFP templates, playbooks, process documentation, and best practices
• Partner with legal, procurement, and cross-functional teams to improve operational workflows
• Support law firm pricing discussions and outside counsel management initiatives
• Assist with the implementation and administration of legal vendor programs and agreements
• Deliver training and guidance related to legal operations processes and vendor management

Requirements:

• Experience working within both a law firm and an in-house legal department
• Proven project or program management experience within legal operations
• Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Experience managing outside counsel relationships and legal spend initiatives
• Knowledge of legal pricing structures and Alternative Fee Arrangements (AFAs)
• Experience developing operational improvements, procedures, and scalable solutions
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, remote environment
• PMP or comparable project management certification
• Prior experience supporting a technology-focused organization
• Experience with eBilling, legal operations, or spend management tools
• Familiarity with RFP management software and reporting platforms such as Tableau
