National Sales Development Manager

Heraeus is a diversified technology company developing products and solutions across healthcare, electronics, industrial, and other markets. The National Sales Development Manager will lead the national Sales Associate program, including hiring, onboarding, field assignments, coaching, performance management, incentive milestones, talent planning, and readiness reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Build the Sales Associate hiring profile, participate in candidate selection, standardize onboarding nationally, and certify foundational readiness before associates begin independent field activity
• Own associate field assignments, coaching cadence, competency rubrics, individual development plans, and quarterly readiness reviews, ensuring associates progress from observing to assisting to independently executing approved activities
• Allocate associates objectively across regions and priorities using a visible, weighted scoring framework, and resolve competing regional requests
• Set individual and program-level goals, coach associate performance, document performance issues, recognize achievement, and own all formal performance management processes
• Own quarterly milestone scoring for the associate incentive plan based on objective evidence and RSD/EAM input, and submit payout recommendations through the approved compensation process
• Maintain regular calibration with RSDs and EAMs so associates provide effective field support, preventing ambiguous or conflicting reporting lines between national and regional leadership
• Maintain a visible talent slate and track anticipated EAM openings to inform promotion timing and deployment decisions
• Report on associate productivity, opportunity contribution, evaluation support, readiness progression, retention, time-to-promotion, and post-promotion performance, compiling readiness documentation and 90-day performance trends and incorporating RSD field input for QBR/business plan assessments and structured interviews

Requirements:

• BS/BA in related discipline
• 3-5 years of experience in sales leadership, field sales management, sales training/enablement, or talent development
• 3-4 years of experience in medical devices, biotechnology, and tissue biologics of the healthcare industry
• Experience with skin substitutes
• Previous experience in startup and medium sized companies
• Previous experience in OR, Value Analysis, wound care and start up environments
• Previous experience in skin substitutes
