IT Project Manager IV

Standard Insurance Company (The Standard) is hiring an IT Project Manager IV to oversee multiple strategic enterprise projects. The role manages project scope, planning, schedules, resources, budgets, risks, communications, and stakeholder engagement, while coordinating organizational change and ensuring timely delivery and intended business outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Lead complex, strategic enterprise initiatives, managing scope, schedules, costs, risks, issues, and change impacts
• Align cross-functional teams and resources, proactively addressing constraints and escalating issues as needed to keep initiatives on track
• Manage project communications, status reporting, and stakeholder engagement, ensuring clear visibility into progress, issues, and deliverables
• Establish regular tracking against strategic goals, ensuring projects achieve intended business outcomes and benefits
• Drive operational efficiency and continuous improvement by identifying process improvements, implementing innovative solutions, and conducting project retrospectives

Requirements:

• High School diploma or GED is required
• 8+ years of project management experience, with a proven delivery record of accomplishment. Success in leading technical cross-organizational initiatives
• 8+ years managing vendors, project budget management and reporting
• Strong experience with Microsoft Project, Microsoft Planner, Jira, and Excel
• Experience applying agile methods, Lean principles, and practices (problem-solving, A3s, huddle boards, Kanban), and traditional project and program management to successfully deliver large complex bodies of work
• Ability to lead and influence peer groups at the executive level
• Expert in establishing strong relationships with leadership and fostering collaboration throughout the organization leveraging influence over authority
• Collaborative working style with business unit stakeholders and external suppliers
• Ability to adapt, apply flexibility, and to learn quickly in a dynamic environment
• Excellent team player able to work with virtual and global cross functional teams
• Strong capability to work independently with guidance in only the most complex situations; acts as a trusted advisor recommending innovative solutions and direction for group/function
• A college degree is preferred
• At this level, graduate coursework may be desirable
• Background in process architecture and analysis, systematic problem solving, business analysis, and organizational change management is preferred
