Senior DevSecOps/Cloud Platform Engineer

TMC Technologies is seeking a Senior DevSecOps/Cloud Platform Engineer to support modernization, automation, and operations of enterprise infrastructure in a secure AWS GovCloud environment. The role focuses on container platforms, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, application migration, and security compliance.

Responsibilities:

• Support administration and operational readiness of AWS and OpenShift infrastructure
• Develop and improve CI/CD pipelines to automate application and infrastructure deployments
• Support migration of enterprise applications from VM-based infrastructure to containerized environments
• Implement infrastructure automation to reduce manual configuration and deployment activities
• Troubleshoot cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes workloads, networking, and application connectivity
• Collaborate with infrastructure, application development, security, and operations teams to resolve technical issues
• Integrate security and compliance requirements into deployment and infrastructure management processes
• Maintain accurate infrastructure documentation, architecture diagrams, and operational procedures
• Identify opportunities to improve platform reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency

Requirements:

• US Citizenship and active Secret clearance required
• 7+ years of hands-on systems administration experience
• Bachelor's degree required
• Hands-on experience administering AWS environments, including EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, load balancing, and networking
• Experience deploying, managing, and troubleshooting Docker containers and Kubernetes-based workloads
• Expertise in securing containerized applications, implement container security standards, and the software development process
• Experience in Kubernetes vulnerability scanning, hardening, CI/CD security architecture
• Experience developing and maintaining automated build, testing, and deployment pipelines using GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, or comparable technologies
• Experience with Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, or similar infrastructure automation tools
• Strong Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) administration, troubleshooting, scripting, and system configuration experience
• Experience integrating security scanning, vulnerability remediation, secrets management, and compliance controls into infrastructure and deployment workflows
• Understanding of DNS, TLS/SSL certificates, firewalls, load balancers, network connectivity, and secure application communication
• Ability to independently diagnose infrastructure, application deployment, and connectivity issues across complex enterprise environments
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work independently and collaborate across multidisciplinary technical teams
• Experience operating in structured change-management and production support environments
• Strong technical documentation and communication skills
• Ability to meet applicable federal background investigation and security clearance requirements
• The candidate must be a US citizen and possess a minimum of an active Secret clearance to start due to federal contract requirements
• Hands-on experience with Red Hat OpenShift Service on AWS (ROSA), including cluster administration and troubleshooting
• Experience supporting application migrations from traditional VMs to containerized platforms
• Familiarity with AWS GovCloud and federal security requirements
• Experience supporting Pega or other enterprise application platforms
• Experience with GitLab repository management, pipeline development, and migration from legacy CI/CD solutions
• Knowledge of container security, image scanning, RBAC, and Kubernetes networking
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus, or OpenSearch
• Experience with automated patching, configuration management, and vulnerability remediation
• Familiarity with high-availability architectures, disaster recovery, and production release management
