Medication History Pharmacy Technician

Role Overview

• Gather and verify complete medication lists and patient allergies
• Document all medication details in electronic records
• Interview patients/caregivers and consult pharmacists to resolve discrepancies
• Assist with quality assurance data, clinical services, order handling, and support pharmacists with data entry and insurance claims

Requirements

• State Pharmacy Technician License
• National Pharmacy Technician Certification required
• 2+ years Pharmacy Technician experience
• 1+ year with Medication Reconciliation/History in hospitals
• Prescription data entry and project coordination experience (preferred)
• Strong computer skills
• Experience with Epic, Cerner and/or MediTech
