Create and execute arresting jacket and interior designs
Follow design workflow and adhere to tight deadlines
Prepare mechanical files and production-ready layouts for print, coordinate with the production team
Participate in group creative discussions
Collaborate and liaise effectively with creators and in-house departments
Archive files into DAM
Create dummies/mockups and sales materials for presentations
Provide general administrative support including coding and processing invoices

A college degree or equivalent work experience required
1+ years of relevant work experience
A proven ability to envision and execute outstanding design
Strong typographic skills; Hand-lettering skills a plus
Understanding of comic book techniques and conventions
Knowledge of current trends in graphic novel field
Understanding of manga a plus
Strong organization, time management and communication skills
Thorough knowledge and experience with InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, ClipStudio and related applications
Knowledge of children’s and young adult publishing field a plus
Passion for graphic novels a must
