Directs and integrates the activities of work groups assigned to support the safe and efficient management of radiological & industrial safety to include Radiological Protection, Industrial Hygiene, and Safety personnel
Manages, directs, and integrates the facility's Radiation Protection Program
Implements Site and DOE level policies through formulation and execution of facility specific plans and procedures
Ensures facility is in full compliance with all Federal, State, Company, and Site requirements
Represents S&H Department on radiological protection issues externally and internally
Develops and implements the facility's business planning systems to efficiently utilize resources
Provides management leadership to ensure a safety and total quality culture for the facility
Requirements
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university and progressive related experience; or Associates degree and progressive related experience; or High School Diploma or GED and a combination of secondary education and/or related experience
Nuclear experience is required.
Managers must receive facility-specific training based upon a comparison of the individual's background and abilities with the responsibilities and duties of the position.
This position falls under DOE Order 426.2 and as such must meet the conditions of the order
4+ years nuclear experience, preferably in the Liquid Waste and/or DOE Complex Safety Trained Supervisor (STS) certified
