About this role
Role Overview
Direct and lead safe operations for the assigned facility
Provides direct line responsibility for day support staff
Provides direct support to the Operations Director and acts on his/her behalf
Plans, organizes and directs short and long-range resource requirements and programs
Manages the safe and efficient operation of the facility to meet DOE requirements
Manages, plans, prioritizes, and coordinates procedures, ticklers, and waste transfers
Provides direction for team members in support of projects
Develops and implements the facility mission, vision and principles
Ensures procedures are consistent for the facility
Conducts investigations of operations abnormal events
Provides oversight and assessment of all operations
Participates as Senior Supervisor during Senior Supervisory Watch
Requirements
BS in Engineering or related technical or science degree and related experience; or BS in a non-technical discipline and related experience; or High School Diploma or GED and a combination of secondary education and/or experience
Bachelors of Science (BS) or Master of Science (MS) in Engineering preferred
Experience working in a nuclear facility/site
Demonstrated leadership experience including previous direct people management
Project management experience
Broad understanding of environmental laws and regulations, DOE orders and knowledge of company policies
Previous or current Shift Operations Manager Qualification preferred
