Lead the formation and implementation of comprehensive strategies to generate high-quality leads and build a robust pipeline of new business prospects.
Evaluate and manage new strategic business opportunities for products, services, mergers, acquisitions, partnerships, alliances and/or joint ventures.
Develop and execute strategic prospecting plans to meet the business goals of the organization.
Research and identify potential practices, partners, and/or customers using online tools, internal databases, and other resources.
Source and attract qualified prospects through various channels, including inbound leads, social media, networking events, and direct outreach.
Build and maintain relationships with healthcare professionals, industry associations, and brokers to expand the prospect pipeline.
Evaluate prospect qualifications, conduct exploratory discussions, gather and assess relevant data to confirm that all leads satisfy preliminary requirements; facilitate the scheduling of meetings with colleagues as needed.
Monitor and track key prospecting metrics such as meetings booked, sources of prospects, and lead quality; regularly report on these performance indicators.
Develop and refine Customer Relationship Management (CRM) strategies to engage new prospects, optimize outreach methods, and manage prospect information for timely follow-ups and tracking.
Assist in the development and implementation of prospecting policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Collaborate with internal business partners to understand acquisition requirements and develop targeted prospecting strategies.
Coordinate with partners for annual prospecting and attend lead sourcing events, dinners, and conferences.
Manage the full acquisition lifecycle from initial contact to Letter of Intent.
Keep up to date with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory updates impacting the optical industry and optometrist practice acquisitions.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience
4+ years experience in Sales, Business Development, or Operations, focusing on net revenue growth
Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
Proven track record of successfully sourcing prospects and growing business in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
Excellent relationship management, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects and systems simultaneously
Proficiency in CRMs or other prospecting software (ZoomInfo, Outreach.io, etc.) to manage pipelines, track interactions, and generate reports
Ability to travel nationally, including some weekends for conferences, prospect dinners, and other business meetings.
