Performs proactive audits to identify potential network performance problems.
Acts as NOC Tier 2 receiving and acting on escalations from Enterprise Service Operations, NOC Monitoring and Sales.
Obtains status, engages in testing, troubleshoots fiber transport with local systems and transport vendors on basic
Advanced Optical, Core and Transport.
Requirements
Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school and a minimum of six months related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
A minimum of six months experience in a network operations environment preferred.
CCNA certification Preferred.
Excellent computer skills required, including knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of applications.
Must be flexible and able to work alternate shifts as required to support the 24/7 operation.
Must participate in On-Call Rotation.
Must be able to work under pressure.
Must be a self-starter and a team player.
