Role Overview
- Manage the Studio with accountability for client solutions resource utilization, project delivery, quality, and profitability. Conduct weekly staff meetings.
- Manage Studio budget and track performance of project teams against approved business plan; initiate corrective action as required to achieve targets for profitability, billings, and collections.
- Develops annual revenue targets, capacity budgets, and business plans in consultation with the Business Unit Director and Practice Group Managers.
- Drive (local) office marketing activities, review all proposals, and contracts to ensure consistency with country’s approved business plan with adherence to the Arcadis professional standards and policies.
- Competent in leading large complex full-service projects with long-term solutioning and ongoing client relationships.
- Develop and coach Studio members to achieve high performance, growth, and personal development.
- Interface with GOPS (including BPO, DtR, MEPC, and Quality) to drive continuous improvement.
- Make recommendations on the recruitment, hiring, discipline, and staff reductions in consultation with senior colleagues.
- Support the growth objectives of the Country Practice Group: develop, implement, and execute innovation and effective solutions for projects (working in collaboration with the Growth team)
- Facilitate cross-Studio collaboration
- Mentor and coach team members and future leaders
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or post-graduate qualification and/or fellowship in an appropriate professional institution
- Professional Interior Designer, Registered Architect, or equivalent preferred
- Deep expertise in a key service line and sector
- Substantial experience (10 years or more) in a discipline, including 5+ years' experience in Engineering/Infrastructure consultancy
- Experience leading and implementing complex business change solutions
- Experience managing business relationships at executive level
- Experience managing teams across geographies
- Significant experience on large-scale/highly complex projects
