About this role
Role Overview
Supports the ongoing management of the strategic partnerships program by collaborating with the vendor management team
Ensure consistent processes with the vendor management team and Global IT’s top suppliers.
Applies established governance and partnership frameworks to supplier management activities
Builds relationships internally and externally with account teams, technology SMEs, and executive sponsors.
Manages the segmentation of suppliers into tiers
Maintains criteria for Global IT’s investment level in strategic suppliers and partners.
Coordinates Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and Executive Supplier Reviews (ESRs)
Supports agenda preparation, attendee management, and meeting prioritization
Works with the vendor management team to maintain relationship ladders and stakeholder maps
Supports the execution of our annual Supplier Summit by coordinating logistics and assisting with general event planning
Connects Medtronic’s needs with partner capabilities by administering stakeholder conversations
Supports the tracking and execution of identified use cases that leverage new-to-Medtronic supplier capabilities in digital, AI, and automation
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree
5+ years of experience with a bachelor’s degree or 3+ years of experience with an advanced degree
Strongly Preferred: Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a technical or business-related field.
8+ years working in some combination of IT operations, procurement, vendor management, or business development
6+ years working with large, strategic IT suppliers, preferably across a variety of commodity areas
i.e. Hardware, Software, Network and IT Services.
Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to influence – both internally and externally
Strong organizational skills
