About this role
Role Overview
Ensure operational excellence and continuous improvement from Medtronic’s third-party technology service providers
Responsible for daily interactions with large Managed Service Provider (MSP) and Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) firms
Managing contracts and supplier relationships to optimize performance and value creation
Reporting to the Senior Director, IT and Managed Services
Accountable for a subset of the VMO’s IT services suppliers
Building relationships (internally and externally) while managing contractual SLAs, KPIs, and deliverables
Deliver measurable quality and performance improvements year-over-year
Deliver measurable financial value year-over-year
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree
5+ years of experience with a bachelor’s degree or 3+ years of experience with an advanced degree
Strongly Preferred: Bachelor’s or advanced degree in a relevant technical or business discipline
5+ years working in some combination of IT operations, procurement, or vendor management
5+ years working with IT services suppliers
Experience working with vendor management data (SLAs, KPIs, financials)
Experience working with global teams in a follow-the-sun model
Ability to influence – both internally and externally
Optimistic and solution focused
Experience working with IT services firms
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
