Gain a thorough understanding of the existing AXIS payout annuity model and its applications.
Take ownership of the payout annuity model, ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and efficiency of model operations and results.
Help in leading the development of the payout annuity model to support critical business processes, including Stat, GAAP, and Tax Reserve reporting, Asset Adequacy Testing, Asset/Liability Management, Financial Plan and Economic Capital projections.
Collaborate on the development of end user tools to support model validation and analysis.
Ensure proper documentation, review, and validation of model developments and enhancements.
Requirements
Actuarial modeling and/or valuation experience in GGY-AXIS
7-10 years of actuarial experience
Substantial experience with annuity products
Significant exposure to regulatory/accounting/capital frameworks (STAT/GAAP/Tax, RBC, EC)
Understanding of capital markets and financial instruments (assets and derivatives) that support Annuity products
FSA designation (preferred) or ASA designation (required)
Competency with R, Python, SQL, and/or Excel VBA (nice to have)
Experience working with business intelligence tools (e.g. Tableau) (nice to have)
History of innovation and process improvement (nice to have)
Experience pricing annuity products and/or working on Cash Flow Testing, Financial Plan, and ALM projections (nice to have)
