Responsible for secretarial support for the Department of Medical Oncology and Hematology
Scheduling and organizing meetings
Coordination of rounds
Taking minutes
Maintaining schedule of physicians
Preparing correspondence such as agendas and memos
Data entry and other general office duties
Assisting with special projects and research grant proposals
Completing timekeeping for the department
Coordinating workflow and meeting deadlines with frequent interruptions
Exercising sound judgment and maintaining confidentiality
Requirements
Successful completion of a recognized administrative or secretarial training program from an accredited educational institution or a combination of education and experience can be considered as determined by CancerCare Manitoba
Minimum two years’ experience in a senior secretarial position
Medical terminology, transcription and minute taking skills
Demonstrate proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook)
Satisfactory employment record
Must be able to legally work in Canada
Ability to work both independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational, customer service and problem-solving skills
Ability to adapt to stressful situations
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
