About this role
Role Overview
Provides initial customer service to all Patient Navigation Center contacts for multiple Lone Star Circle of Care (LSCC) service lines
Performs insurance verification or sliding fee program screenings for patients in accordance with LSCC guidelines
Assesses patient requests and implied needs, using probing and clarifying questions
Assists patients with scheduling, confirmations, cancellations and rescheduling of appointments
Requirements
High school diploma or GED preferred; additional work experience may be substituted in lieu of education
Minimum of one (1) year of customer service experience
Excellent computer skills and the ability to learn new computer programs efficiently
Six (6) months prior medical office or healthcare setting experience preferred
Minimum three (3) months call center experience preferred
Bilingual English/Spanish language and writing skills preferred
