About this role
Role Overview
Lead enterprise lease administration and governance of lease/ownership records, ensuring complete documentation, standardized filing, and audit readiness.
Maintain accurate lease data including abstracts, rent rolls, critical dates, and payment schedules; ensure ongoing database integrity and compliance.
Proactively monitor and communicate critical dates (renewals, terminations, escalations, notice periods) to enable timely planning and action.
Interpret lease terms to resolve issues, track obligations, enforce rights, and serve as the primary contact for internal and external customers.
Oversee SOX-related controls and compliance requirements for lease administration, supporting testing, documentation, and remediation.
Manage lease lifecycle events including amendments, extensions, terminations, and ancillary agreements, ensuring accuracy and completeness of records.
Partner with Real Estate, Facilities, Finance, Legal, and Lease Accounting to support portfolio needs and accurate reporting under ASC 842.
Prepare and review recurring and one-time payment schedules (rent, OPEX/CAM, property tax, reconciliations, CPI/rent escalations) to ensure accuracy.
Develop dashboards, reporting, and analytics (Excel/Power BI/CoStar) to monitor portfolio performance and support decision-making.
Manage landlord billing and collections (TI allowances, inducements, security deposits), ensuring timely reimbursement and compliance with lease terms.
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of lease administrators, driving performance, consistency, and adoption of best practices.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Business Administration, Finance, or related field
7–10+ years of experience managing lease administration operations and real estate finance
Familiar with SOX compliance requirements related to lease administration
Familiarity with lease accounting principles and financial reporting support under ASC 842
