Managing all operational activities associated with high volume, mid-size to large accounts.
Managing a team of 5-7 Underwriting Associates, end to end and as the point of contact for customers and underwriting leadership
Ensuring teams meeting key operational performance goals
Regular performance evaluations
Managing the workflow and distribution of work amongst team members
Performing customer service and account management responsibilities, as needed, which may include resolving issues related to billing, making changes to policies and answering policy coverage related questions.
Participating in key account business relationships in person or teleconference with Underwriters
Providing oversight and leading key checkpoint processes for teams
Coordinating relevant agenda, communications, and discussion points for regional meetings and trainings
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree and 4 or more years of experience in the Insurance, Underwriting or Market Facing area OR Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice, including Associate’s Degree and 4 or more years’ experience in the Insurance, Underwriting or Market Facing area OR High School Diploma or Equivalent and 6 or more years of experience in the Insurance, Underwriting or Market Facing area
Knowledge of the insurance industry and the legal and regulatory environment
Insurance certifications
People management experience
Experience working in a production and metrics performance environment
Knowledge of operational budgets
Knowledge of international insurance programs
