Support accurate and timely payroll processing through thorough data review and timesheet validation
Audit and maintain employee data, compensation records, and tax setups in ADP Workforce Now, Carta, and Fidelity to ensure accuracy and compliance
Help develop and refine payroll documentation, including standard operating procedures and workflow guides
Ensure compliance with multi-state, local, and federal labor and tax regulations
Assist with tax filings, payroll, and bank reconciliations
Support year-end processes such as W-2 preparation
Respond to payroll inquiries with professionalism and discretion
Requirements
2+ years of related professional experience in payroll processing, accounting or people operations
Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets
Experience with payroll and HRIS systems, preferably ADP Workforce Now and SmartCompliance
Exceptional attention to detail and ability to deliver accurate results under tight deadlines while maintaining confidentiality and a high level of integrity
1+ years of experience at a high-growth, remote start-up (preferred)
Working knowledge of multi-state payroll compliance and tax laws (preferred)
Degree in Accounting, Business, or other related field (preferred)
Experience with month, quarter, and year-end payroll reconciliations (tax, 401(k), benefits) (preferred)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally (preferred)
