Performs assessments, brief counseling and consultation, action planning, referral to resources and follow-up
Delivers training and wellness presentations, participates in base/installation activities
Maintains counselor activity data through smart phone or web application to assure accurate reporting
Establishes and maintains working relationships with community resources for appropriate service linkages
Participates in regular supervision, training, and quality improvement committees
Participates in pilot programs and completes activity documentation as directed
Requirements
Master’s degree from an accredited graduate program in a relevant field of study including social work, psychology, marriage/family therapy, or counseling
Valid unrestricted independent counseling license
Minimum of 2 years of post-licensure clinical experience
Intermediate-level competencies in technology (Microsoft Suite, Internet navigation, Smartphone/Tablet navigation)
Ability to engage and communicate with military members or children as assigned
Ability to traverse short and long distances within the base and maneuver through varied locations
Ability to prove US Citizenship and fluency in English
Understanding, sensitivity and empathy for service members and their families
Ability to develop trusting, helping relationships
Ability to work with diverse backgrounds
Pass a National Agency Check and Inquiries (NACI) Clearance
