Help accelerate market adoption of green building across the Southern region as a Manager, U.S. Market Transformation & Development
Drive growth by translating strategy into execution, bringing USGBC’s mission to life through smart go-to-market plans and visible wins that move markets
Represent the organization in assigned local markets and cultivate relationships with members, volunteers, partners, and other existing and prospective stakeholders
Lead business development across priority sectors and geographies, responsible for building and managing a strong pipeline for USGBC and GBCI products
Localize national, sector-focused campaigns to resonate in regional markets
Cultivate strategic alliances to expand reach, drive demand, and elevate green building leadership
Represent USGBC at industry events, contribute stories and content to USGBC media channels
Track, monitor, and report on performance, including pipeline health, revenue outcomes, campaign effectiveness, partnerships, and market adoption metrics
Requirements
5+ years of relevant professional experience, ideally in business development, market development, sales, commercial real estate, and/or sustainability
Public/Private/Non-Profit development experience and/or sales experience successfully originating new business, preferably in sustainability and/or commercial real estate
Experience with in-person, virtual, and hybrid event planning and execution
Experience working with a variety of internal and external stakeholders, including industry and community leaders
Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience required
Technology/System(s): Microsoft Office suite, Salesforce, Smartsheet, Cvent, PowerBI, Canva
Certifications: LEED Green Associate or LEED AP preferred (or willingness to obtain within 12 months)
