Role Overview
- Oversee daily outbound shipping activities, including scheduling, loading, and dispatching of goods.
- Ensure all orders are picked, packed, labeled, and shipped according to customer specifications and deadlines.
- Monitor and maintain accurate shipment documentation (BOLs, packing lists, customs paperwork if applicable).
- Ensure compliance with company policies, customer requirements, and regulatory standards.
- Monitor quality standards for outbound shipments to minimize errors and damages.
- Oversee proper documentation for international shipments, including customs requirements and Incoterms.
- Supervise, train, and develop shipping team members.
- Identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
- Ensure shipping equipment (pallet jacks, forklifts, conveyors) is maintained and used safely.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Forklift certification is required
- At least 5 years’ previous experience in warehouse operations
- Strong organizational skills
- Detail-oriented
- Works well in a team environment and has leadership qualities
- Strong communication skills within Microsoft Teams and Outlook email
- Knowledge or experience with WMS systems
- Ability to lift 25 lbs.
- Strong Excel skills
- EDI experience a plus
