About this role
Role Overview
Facilitate assigned Vendor relationships throughout Vendor lifecycle, including onboarding of new Vendors.
Serve as the primary point of contact and/or liaison between Vendors and AVANT team.
Responsible for management of all processes associated with assigned Vendors.
Act as an escalation point for assigned Vendors on any Vendor-related issues.
Responsible for ongoing support of Vendor programs and processes including business reviews/strategy sessions, bonus tracking, and forecasting.
Secure funding for AVANT marketing and education initiatives from assigned Vendors.
Implement recurring cadence calls with Vendors to discuss and/or track performance, market share, and feedback from AVANT team on programs, solutions, promotions, etc.
Oversee the distribution of information regarding Vendor promotions, announcements, incentives, etc.
Maintain a working knowledge and understanding of Avant and the Support Organization.
Participate in Vendor meetings, advisory councils, and attend tradeshows, if applicable.
Capable of and responsible for training and assisting the Manager/VP of Vendor Engagement with training new hires on day-to-day role and responsibilities.
Responsible for the Vendor involvement and experience at AVANT events including but not limited to managing the selection of Vendors, supporting collection of materials and/or assets, and overseeing Vendor participation.
Attend events as the Vendor Engagement representative and engage with Vendors and Trusted Advisors.
Familiarity and basic understanding of assigned Vendor agreements and contracts.
Serve as liaison with Vendor and Legal Team for all legal-related items affecting contracts and commissions.
Understand commission schedules and be able to answer basic questions regarding compensation structure of assigned Vendors.
Responsible for coordination with Legal team to create and modify commissions schedules.
First line of contact for internal commissions/contractual questions.
Direct supervision given from VP of Programs or EVP of Operations.
Dotted line to Practice Lead for assigned technology category.
Daily contact with Vendors, Sales, Sales Engineering, Operations, Commissions/Finance, Marketing, Trusted Advisors, and Executives.
Requirements
College degree in a business or communications related program or the equivalent work experience.
Minimum of 5 years of technology sales/marketing experience or similar corporate work experience.
A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact.
Experience managing projects and relationships.
Ability to motivate and influence others and foster sound relationships is necessary.
Strong communication skills and experience. Comfortable and effective public speaking skills.
Excellent organizational, follow up, and time management skills.
Ability to assimilate, summarize, and relay relevant information effectively.
Ability to make independent judgment calls based on procedures and policies.
Ability to problem solve based on a grasp of internal practices and precedents.
Ability to work within a cooperative team environment as well as perform assignments autonomously.
Superior proficiency in computer usage, the Internet, the Microsoft Office suite of applications. Must have the ability to learn industry specific software programs.
