Role Overview
- Act as a key resource within Legal Services
- Provide strategic and business-focused legal advice
- Develop a deep understanding of the organization’s legal needs
- Lead and coordinate legal support for incident response
- Monitor, analyze and communicate legislative and regulatory trends
- Provide legal support for the implementation of policies
- Align legal approaches across Canada and the United States
- Collaborate with other Practice Leads
- Participate in various industry meetings and forums
Requirements
- Law degree (LL.B.)
- Member in good standing of a provincial bar association
- Minimum of 15 years’ experience related to privacy protection
- Ability to influence and build trusted relationships
- Strong industry network and contacts
- Natural leadership with excellent organizational skills
- Advanced proficiency in English
